In the name of god amen the
xith daye of Julye in the yeare of our Lord
god one Thousand sixe hundred and eleven, I
Elizabeth Halke of the parrishe of Petham in the
Countye of Kent widdowe, beinge sicke in my bodye
but of good remembrannce make my will as followeth
Firste I commend my soule unto Almightie god my
maker trustinge assuredlye to be saved and to inherite
the Kingdome of heaven, by the death and resurreccon
of my onely Lord and Saviour Jesus Christe and by
noe other meanes, and my will ys that after my
death my bodye be decentlie buryed in the Churchyard
of Petham aforesaid, Itm I give to my Daughter
Joane Odden my (?)reod petycoate. Itm I give to
Marie Vawse my daughter my gowne Itm I give
to John Halke the sonn of Christofer Halke my late
sonn deceased the some of fyftye shillings wch money
I will my executor shall bestowe and laye owt towards
the obteyninge of a place as a brother in some hospitall
yf yt maye be obteyned for him because he ys blynd
or else to bestowe the same money otherwyse, for his
other preferment Itm I give unto Richard Halke the
