In the name of God Amen

I Basill Terry of the Parish of Braborn in the County of Kent yeoman

being sick and weak of Body but in sound and perfect sence and memory

thankes be given to Almighty God for it, do make and ordaine this my

last will and Testament in manner and form Following; First I comend

my Soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping assuredly through

the merits of Christ my Saviour of the Remission of my Sins

and my Body to be buried in Decent and Christian like

Burial; Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother

John Terry of Aldington Twenty Shillings to be paid unto

him within one Half year after my Decease, and all my wearing

apparell both woollen and Linnen; Item, I give and bequeath unto

Bazil Terry Son of my Son Thomas Terry Five Shillings to be paid

unto him by my Executors hereafter named within one Half Year

after my Decease; Item, I give and bequeath unto Anne Terry

Daughter of my Son Thomas Terry Five Shillings to be paid to her

by my Executors within one Half Year after my Decease; Item

I give and bequeath unto Thomas Terry and Bazil Terry the

Two Sons of my Son Bazil Terry my peice of Meadow Land lying

by Fidling Street with the Orchard, Hempland, and Close to them and

their Heirs forever; to be equally divided between them when they

shall accomplish the Age of Twenty one Years; And further my

will is that if any of these two Children should should dye before

they be of Age then his Brother shall be his Heir; And

father my Will is that the House which now I live in shall be sold

from the Ground by my Feofee hereafter named; And further

my Will is that my two Grandchildren Bazil Terry and Thomas

Terry the Two Sons of my Son Bazil Terry shall be my whole and

sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament and further my

will is that Bazil Terry and Thomas Terry my Two Executors

shall have all my moveable goods, Item, I will and bequeath my

Six acres of Arrable Land which lyeth in Stouting to be Sold by my

Feoffee hereafter nominated to pay my Debts and Legacies; Item,

I do will and ordaine Margarett Terry my Daughter in Law my

Son Bazil Terry’s Widow my Feofee and Trustee to fulfill this my

last Will and Testament for my Heirs and Executors; Item

I do will and bequeath unto Margarett Terry my Daughter in Law

Fourty Shillings a Year every Year till my two Heirs shall

attaine to the age of One and Twenty Years; if she keep

her self a Widow towards her trouble in bringing up the Children

But my Will is if she marry before the Children come of Age she shall

not have her Fourty Shillings a Year no linger, then she keeps her selfe

a Widow, and I do will and impower Margarett Terry my Daughter in law

my Feofee and Guardian for my two Grandchildren Thomas Terry

and Bazill Terry to sell that Six Acres of Land which lieth in Stouting

and my House from the Ground according to my Will above mentioned

and further my will is that when that peice of Land is sold and my House

from the Ground, and my Debts and Legacues paid that my Trustee

return the overplus to my Executors when they shall attaine to the age of

One and Twenty Year; In Witness whereof to this my last Will

and Testament (renouncing all former Wills and Testaments by me made)

my Hand and Seale have interchangably set dated this Seventh Day of

December in the Year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven Hundred

and Three Bazill Terry his mark; Read Sealed, and published
