Upon the fourteenth Day of July in the first Yeare of the Reigne of our Souvreigne, Lady Anne by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland Queene Defender of the faith etc.
Annoq3 Dni 1702 I Michael Gotham of Ramsgate in the parish of St. Lawrence in the Isle of Thanet and County of Kent Mariner being well in body and of good and perfect sence and memory (God be praised) doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say) first I recommend my soule into the mercifull hands of Almighty God, who made it, and my body to the Earth from whence it came, to be buried at the discrcon of my Executrix hereafter named, also I give and bequeath to Elizabeth my loving wife all my pay and wages already due and which shall hereafter grow due for my Service in her Majesties Bomb ketch the Comett, or in any other service of her Majesty or other Service whatsoever. Also all the rest and residue of my Goods and Chattells whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath to my said loving wife Elizabeth, whom I make and ordaine sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making null and void all former and other Wills be my made and ratifying and confirming this to be my only last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Michael Gotham have hereinto put my hand and Seale, Dated the Day and year first above written Michael Gotham Sealed Signed and delivered for the last Will and Testament of the said Michael Gotham in the presence of us Chrisby Feinwick Marget Baker John Evers
