In the Dock 21 Jan 1854 Dartmouth, Devon, England Stealing rope - On 21st January 1854 he appeared at the Sessions for the Borough of Dartmouth accused of stealing rope. He was sentenced to a fortnight's imprisonment, and discharged on 4th February.
Civic duty 1866 Stoke Fleming, Devon, England Potential Constable - The Stoke Fleming Vestry Books for the C19th include on 15 Feb 1866 a "list of persons liable to serve as Constables in the parish: ... Wm. Pike Issell (cordwainer)." There was another list in 1869 and a final reference in 1872 - I don't know if William was mentioned again, nor whether he was ever chosen to serve.

Executor / Trustee From 1870 to 1884 Trustee of will - Appointed Trustee of his will by his uncle, Thomas Efford Issell, along with another nephew, William Henry Pike, and the wife of TEI.
The will was written in 1870, TEI died 1874 when the will was proved in 1874 it was just by the 2 nephews, with "Power being reserved of granting Probate of the said Will to Betsey Winsor Issell, Widow, the Relict of the deceased, the other Executor".
The trustees were responsible for seeing that Betsey received the net income from Thomas's estate for the rest of her life, until her own death in 1884.
Bequest 1884 £75 - When his uncle Thomas Efford Issell wrote his will in 1870 he left £75 to William, but only after his (TEI's) wife's death. This didn't occur until 1884.
