Probate 13 Aug 1935 London, England - "Popplestone Henry of 27 St. Paul's-road Paignton Devonshire died 13 August 1935 Administration London 3 September to Mary Adelena Popplestone widow. Effects £241 13 s."
It would appear to much to be co-incidence that 2 other Popplestone wills for which probate was granted the same year were also both of people who lived in Paignton. One, that of a spinster Adalena, was of someone else in the same road! An Adalena who would fit is the dau of John and Sarah, aged 10 in the 1901 census, John, like Henry, being b Paignton - esp as probate was to a widow named Sarah Jane Popplestone, and she seems to be the only AP in the BMD index. However, John was described as a "jobbing mason" in 1901; Adelena left the very large sum of £9 364 13s. 2d. Had John made his fortune or Adalena been left a large bequest by someone?
The other was of Margaret Grace, also a spinster, who left £2 865 11s. 10d., also a good amount.
