Cause appears to say 'Melvena noenalorum' but I'm sure this must be intended to be 'Melena noenatorum' transcription errors appear to have crept in somewhere.
Consistent with Lavinia being illegitimate, the 'Rank or Profession' field, which usually names the father and his occupation, shows 'Daughter of Jessie Goatham formerly Young',

Lavinia's birth was registered during q4 1917 but her "Dad" died Apr 1916! However, since women's name on marr cert is that at time of marr and that on birth cert is maiden name either
1. A widow whose maiden name was Young may have married a Goatham and Lavinia could have been their child;
2. FreeBMD data is wrong or lacking
3. Lavinia was Jessie's child but had a different father
The date of Archibald's death cannot be wrong (since he died in a well documented gunpowder explosion)
Lavinia's mother Jessie did remarry the following year, to one Arthur Badmiston, so I guess that Arthur may have been Lavinia's father, but it could have been someone else so I am not showing the father. I have not seen the birth certificate to see if this gives a clue.
