There was a Thomas Dean baptised in Frittenden in 1792 so whose age would be close to that given in the burial register when this Thomas was buried. Also, a Hannah Cox of Frittenden was baptised in Cranbrook in 1795, consistent with the age given at the Sittingbourne burial. Moreover, this baptism was in a non-conformist church, a connection being likely given that this Thomas and Hannah had their sons baptised in non-conformist churches. These good age matches suggest it was this couple who were the parents of Richard and John.
Another Thomas Dean of Faversham married a Hannah (Peirce) in Canterbury on 10 Aug 1823 - that couple could be the ones who settled in Sittingbourne.
Since both of the Sittingbourne couple died before the 1851 census there is no chance of checking their birthplaces.
