Newspaper report of William's death (East Kent Gazette, 26 Oct 1926) notes that only a fortnight before the couple had celebrated their Silver Wedding.
William was a prominent member of Bredgar Wesleyan Church so they may well have married in that or another Wesleyan Church (the marriage is not in the collection of images from PRs held by the KHLC, so it was most likely not in a CoE church).
