    • Checked DFHS CDs for Totnes and Woodleigh Deaneries and I don't think I've found this marriage (searched for all marriages of a William Hodge or Hodges, also searched for abbrev Wm)
      The only possibility is HODGES WILLIAM to  MOREY MARY on  07 08 1809. This would require Mary to have been a widow aged 20 when she married William.

      James Hambling of this Parish Blacksmith and Ann Burgoin of this Parish Spinster were Married in this Church by Banns this Sixteenth Day of June in the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty three by me Thoms. Adams Vicar.

      The Register is one for combined Banns / Marriage entries, but the banns part of this was left blank - like it would be for a marriage by licence. While most were filled in, a couple of other entries were left blank in 1783/84 for marriages said to be by Banns. Whether the Vicar forgot to fill these in, or accidentally wrote Banns when he meant Licence, I'm not sure.
