  	In 1861 (before Isabel's mother, Elizabeth, married) Amy Macklin was boarding with Elizabeth and her parents. When Amy died in 1873 Elizabeth was her executor. Clearly Amy was well known to Elizabeth but why Elizabeth would give Amy's surname to all of her children is not at present clear. (Amy's will to be seen - it may give a clue)

Presumably this was her grandmother, who had been living with her daughter Elizabeth and her family at the time of the census the previous year.
