      Children born before 1911 - from the census, those born after - assumed from mother's maiden name and registration district. There was a male Bowden : female Ellis marriage in Totnes in 1900, and others slightly further away in Devon, so it is possible that 1 or more children were of another couple, but it seems most likely they were Charlotte and Fredericks. Looked through GRO online index for entries prior to 1911 (Bowden, with mother's maiden name of Ellis) - no more found that look likely to be children of this couple.
      The fact that they ceased in 1918 and Charlotte died in 1919 also adds wiight to this theory.
