  	GRO ref: Aylett, Richard to Broad, Fanny q2 1885 Milton RD 2a 1293 Details from PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 20 Jul 2019) Like many people Richard didn't fully absorb what was being asked for in terms of number of children in the 1911 census and wrote "6 Preavious 2 present" across the total number of children / children still living columns. This is a little surprising since he seems to have had 9 children by his "preavious", marriage, as whilst his answer could be read to mean that 6 were still living in 1911 it appears thatonly one of had died, while his daughter Elsie was married and his son Brian living with an uncle and aunt; both can be found in Bredgar at the time of the 1911 census, so unless Richard was indicating he had disowned 2 of his children it may simply refer to 6 living at home!
