Philip Trant may have been the son of John and Elizabeth but I think he was more likely the son of John's brother William. See birth notes on Philip's page for my thoughts on this.

  • Wills (transcripts)
The will of Elizabeth Trant nee Foal (c. 1744 - 1822)
The will of Mary's mother, Elizabeth Trant (nee Foal)
Left £5 by her mother - half what her sister Mary recieved, and only a quarter what her brother Richard received. Because it was in buildings, land etc. it is hard to assess how it compares with what her other brothers received, but it would seem to be considerably less.
