Although the age does not agree, it is clearly wrong, as it was obviously the Robert whose death was reported in the newspaper as being in his 80th year, and family wills show the link to the Stokenham family.
Bequest 1884 £300 - When his brother Thomas Efford Issell wrote his will in 1870 he left £300 to Robert, but only after his (TEI's) wife's death. This didn't occur until 1884, after Robert had also died so it would have been his beneficiaries who received the money, according to the terms of his own will.
"I give and bequeath unto my Brother Robert Isssell the sum of Three hundred pounds"

The Will of Robert Issell formerly of Charles-street Kensington in the County of Middlesex but late of Exmouth in the County of Devon who died 12 July 1880 at Baring House Exmouth was proved at Exeter by Thomas Freeman of Baring House Printer and George Mitchelmore Issell of Exmouth Draper's Assistant the Son the Executors.
