The image shows a cousin Alice, and 3 others present - probably all cousins (Albert and Daisy had had 5 children but one, their only son, died in infancy). I guess John's parents may have moved him to Suffolk for safety, the evacuation of children having started.
John's uncle, his father's only brother, had died in the Somme in WW1, so his father would have had good reason to fear another war.
