  	GRO ref: DANCE, John E q4 1962 aged 60 Sittingbourne RD 5b 841 Actual date from probate calendar entry and from newspaper report (East Kent Gazette, 19 Oct 1962, p. 14, col. 9): " A charge-hand carpenter at Kemsley Mill for many years, Mr. John (Jack) Ewart Dance, of Ridham Avenue, Kemsley died at his home on Wednesday last week. He was aged 60, and leaves a widow and seven children. Mr. Dance was a keen trade unionist and for 25 years was the secretary of the local branch of the A.S.W. He was also a shop steward at the mill. The funeral took place at Newington on Monday and in addition to family mourners the service was attended by many of his mill colleagues."
