Gender Female Residence 1851 The Union Workhouse, Tenterden, Kent, England - By the time of the 1851 census Susan Eliza and several of her siblings were living in the Workhouse in Tenterden (Susan as 'Eliza'). Her parents do not seem to have been in the workhouse; it seems probable that one or both had died.
Unfortunately it seems that workhouse records for this period do not survive. (Eliza had left the workhouse before the 1861 census).
