  	There is only the death of one Thomas Johnson recorded in Stoke-on-Trent RD who was born in 1921 (though the index only goes to 2007 when Thomas could still be living). The dob of the Thomas who deid 2002 was in q3, corresponding with when the birth of this Thomas was recorded, and a month before the baptism of this Thomas, again about right, so the evidence does seem quite storng that this is the death of this Thomas. All 4 were living at the time of the 1939 registration. I think my mother had met one or more of them - she was certainly in contact with one (or more) at one time but lost touch over the years.
