  Died	When and where did Richard die? His wife Caroline was a servant (living in) in 1901 and his son John was with his parents.  This may suggest that Richard had died by then - especially as I can't find him in 1901 - EXCEPT Caroline is shown as married, not a widow. There is a death recorded of a Richard Readdy, age given as 88, in q4 1897 (clearly 88 in index) - but was the age mis-read when index was made? This Richard would have been 36, not an age easily misread as 88. Also, I checked the 1891 census and there was an elderly RIchard (the census suggests born c 1811); it is more likely the 1897 death was this older Richard (there is no other death registration that a good fit for this older Richard).
