"Banns of Marriage between Thomas Capsell & Sarah Beacon were published on
      the 8th. 15th. & 22d. of November 1789. Both of this Parish.
      Thomas Caspell of this Parish
Batchelor and Sarah Beacon of this
      Parish Spinster were
Married in this Church by Banns this
thirteenth Day of December in the Year One Thousand Seven
Hundred and eighty nine by me Richd. Halke Vicar
This Marriage was solemnized between Us Thomas Caspell's mark +, Sarah Beacon
In the Presence of Mena Becon, Wm Beacon"
      (Archive reference U3/146/1/10 p.204)

Witnesses were almost certainly the siblings of the bride; though William could have been her father it was usually young people who acted as witnesses. Mena's signature shows a late use of the spelling Becon, though Sarah and William both use Beacon.
I think it was extremely unlikely they knew it, but (if I have the tree right) Richard Halke was Sarah's 8th cousin once removed (the Halkes and Beacons being related by the marriage of Sarah's 3 x great grandfather Thomas Becon to her 3 x great grandmother Jane Halke).
