      Shown in the census entries (1901 and 1911) as simply 'Elizabeth', aged 23 in 1901, suggesting born 1877-8 and only 27 in 1911. Was it the same person as Mary F E - and were the two Elizabeths the same person?
      The 1911 census shows Frederick and Elizabeth had been married 12 years, strongly suggesting they were and the birthplace in both being London, not very common for someone living in Canterbury, adds further weight. Shown as having completed only 12 years of marriage suggests probably born 1898, possibly 1899, only one year out from the true length for  Frederick and Mary F E. There is no sign of a marriage that could be a 2nd marriage of Frederick's around this time, and all three children, born between 1898 and 1905, were recorded with a mother's maiden name of Higgins so it seems that 'Mary Frances Elizabeth' and 'Elizabeth' were one and the same.  

      The 1901 and 1911 census entries also show her as born London, her marriage PR entry shows her as the daughter of William Higgins, a painter.
