  	GRO ref: Goatham, Maisie to Lavender, George F q2 1919 Milton RD 2a 2815 Details from marriage PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 2 April 2019) and report in the East Kent Gazette (31 May 1919, p1, col. 1): "Lavender - Goatham - May 17th, 1919, at Bredgar Church, by the Rev. H. S. Aiken, George Francis, A.M.F., of Richmond, N.S.W., and Maisie, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Goatham, Dean's Hill, Bredgar." How did George and Maisie meet? - I wonder if Maisie, like her mother, was a nurse and worked with the Australians in Weymouth. If you know I'd love to hear. With both of their fathers being farmers they would have something in common, though rather different in age. The PR gives George's age at marriage as 34 but he appears to have knocked a few years off, actually being nearly 38, twice Maisie's age.
