Baptised the same day as her first cousin Stephen Bridges.
Gender Female Residence 1841 Bredgar Street, Bredgar, Kent, England Residence 1851 Primrose Lane, Bredgar, Kent, England Died 23 Sep 1864 Bredgar, Kent, England - GRO ref: Wood, Charlotte q3 1864 Milton RD 2a 417; GRO online index shows age as 65
Charlotte Wood is quite a common name but I am confident that this is her death based on the age being right for this Charlotte, and the RD of Milton, which inludes Bredgar, where Charlotte spent most of her life. Added to this, Bredgar PRs show the Charlotte who died in 1864 was buried there.
(This Charlotte was not the Charlotte Wood who died in Hollingbourne RD in 1859 as the GRO online index shows that that Charlotte was then aged only 33)
Buried 29 Sep 1864 St. John the Baptist Church, Bredgar, Kent, England - From KFHS transcribed data
Shows Charlotte Wood, abode Bredgar, aged 65
Grant of Administration 19 Jan 1865 Canterbury, Kent, England Calendar entry - "Wood Charlotte. 19 January. Letters of Administration of the Personal Estate and effects of Charlotte Wood (Wife of George Wood) late of Bredgar in the County of Kent deceased who died 23 September 1864 at Bredgar aforesaid were granted at Canterbury to the said George Wood of Bredgar aforesaid Grocer he having been first sworn.
Effects under £200."
Siblings 4 brothers and 3 sisters Patriarch & Matriarch Notes - John and Charlotte have no children with them in the 1841 or 1851 census returns - at the time of both they were living in Bredgar.
Charlotte does not appear as Charlotte Quaife in the 1861 census, nor had she died with this name. A Charlotte Quaife marr in Hollingbourn RD in 1858 - presumably this Charlotte, marrying a George Wood. A couple George and Charlotte Wood were in Bredgar in 1861, the age of Charlotte consistent with this Charlotte.

Family 2 George WOOD, b. Abt 1786, Bredgar, Kent, England , d. 17 Jul 1877, Bredgar, Kent, England (Age ~ 91 years)
Other Partners: Mary KEMP m. 10 Dec 1810Married Sep Q 1858 Hollingbourne Reg Dist, Kent, England - GRO ref: Quaife, Charlotte to Wood, George q3 1858 Hollingbourn RD 2a 715Was the marriage this Charlotte, remarrying as a widow? I am fairly confident it was. Not only can I find no death registration of a Charlotte Quaife to fit this Charlotte, or any sign of her as a Quaife in the 1861 census, but the census data adds further evidence. In Bregar in the 1861 census a George and Charlotte Wood can be found living in Primrose Street, George being a baker and Charlotte the age of this Charlotte and with the same birthplace. In 1851 the same George (i.e. a baker George Wood of the same age in Primrose Lane) had been a widower. There were 3 marriages of George Woods in Kent between 1851 and 1861, one with the middle name Alexander (in Canterbury RD), one in Hoo RD. The location makes the Hollingbourne the most likely one for this George, especially given the birthplace of his bridge, as shown in the 1861 census.
In addition, George and Charlotte had a young servant with them in 1861. Not a Bredgar girl, but born in Sittingbourne, but she was the granddaughter of this Charlotte's first cousin William Goatham (who was still living in Bredgar) which adds a little more support.
Both George and Charlotte were living in Bredgar at the time of the 1951 census so it is surprising that the marriage was in Hollingbourne RD. Possibly Charlotte had gone to live in Hollingbourne RD after being widowed - perhaps she had found employment there.
