Married Bef 1747 - None of the children's baptisms records their mother's name, so I am just guessing they were all the children of Susanna, albeit an educated guess: most marriages are indexed, and so the chance of both that of Joseph and Susanna and Joseph and another wife not being is quite small. ** I have not checked all the burials of females between 1709 and 1747 to see if another is that of a wife of Joseph **; doing so would clearly increase the liklihood of them all being Susanna children, if no other wife was found.
I think it likely that the baptism of Joseph in Calstock was the son of this Joseph, given that there seems to be no other sign of a Joseph who might be the father, and also that a son Joseph was buried in Tavistock, although there seems to be no baptism there. It may not indicate that the family were living there, but rather that the child was born there.
