Notes - (Research):In the 1841 census there is an 'Elizabeth Goodhum' living next to Thomas and Hannah Thunder, shown as aged 80 and of independant means. Hannah was probably brought up as the daughter of her sister Elizabeth and brother-in-law Edward Goatham (i.e. the brother and sister-in-law of this Elizabeth). I suspect it was this Elizabeth, though I could have the Elizabeths the wrong way around, and this Elizabeth could have been the one buried in 1829 - though the age of that one fits better as Edward's wife.
Whoever she was I would have expected to find a death of Elizabeth but I can't - as Goatham, Gootham, Goodhum or Goodham. I wondered if it was coincidence and her name should have been Goodhew but I can't find a death for that name either (looking for deaths registered in Thanet district, to 1865). Another similar name was Goodwin, and although a number of deaths of Elizabeth Goodwins were registered in Thanet in this time, all were younger at death than the 1841 census Elizabeth was when the census was taken. Even had her age been rounded up instead of down they aren't the right age.
