  	At the time of the census Grace was one of just 4 patients in the hospital, all children (aged 7, 8, 9 and 14) and where there was also a matron, 3 nurses and 4 domestic staff (a laundress, cook, housemaid and wardmaid). A description of the hospital shows there was an administrative block, a fever ward (3 rooms), a typhoid ward (3 rooms), small pox (2 rooms) and isolation wards (5 rooms). All twelve people are listed against the fever ward; with the staff not just the patients on that line it is not clear if that is where the patients were or if just a summary was provided.

  	GRO ref: Snoad, Alfred to Page, Agnes Jane q4 1894 Faversham RD 2a 1648 Details from PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 7 Feb 2020) In the 1911 census Alfred claimed he and Agnes had had 6 children, all still living. However, there was only 5 with them. Looking for the 6th (the birth registration of a Snoad with an mother's maiden name or Page) finds not one but three: a female baby who died soon after her birth in 1895, too soon to be named, Alfred Thomas who also died as a baby and Grace Rosina, who lived into her 70s. It seems Alfred had not counted those who died as babies. Grace was not with her family due to being in hospital at the time.
