A Betty J(e?)an Goble was named by Charles Henry Sills as a granddaughter, along with Lilian May Sills. A Betty J Sills, shown as later becoming a Goble, is with Charles' son Robert in the 1939 register, with a 1932 dob. There is birth registration to match the date and expected RD (with the alternative name of Wood, consistent with this family) - but the mother's maiden name seems wrong. There is no death of a Mary A Sills or Wood or the marriage of another Mary A to Robert between his known marriage and 1932, so the reason for the mother's maiden name of Taylor is a puzzle. Had Robert married someone else known by two different surnames? Or was it another case of changing partner without a death / remarriage?
