  	There were several Maud Bradburys born at the right sort of time and part of the country that could easily be the one who married John Gotham. However, there are 2 with a much stronger claim than the others, since they were in Stoke on Trent Registration district. These were a Maud registred in q2 1892 and a Maud Elizabeth in q3 1892. (As middle names are quite often omitted at marriage, Maud Elizabeth cannot be excluded as a possibility). However, the death registration (index entry) of a Maud which fits as this Maud GOTHAM indicates it was almost certainly the one whose birth was registered in q2 1892:    GRO ref: Bradbury, Maud q2 1892 Stoke T. RD 6b 284; GRO online index shows mother's maiden name as Sanders Also, the dob in the 1939 register is given as 9 Mar 1892, almost the same as that given in the death registration index.
