Bertha TURNER
Set As Default Person -
Name Bertha TURNER Relationship
with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born 3 Nov 1889 Stoke on Trent Reg Dist, Staffordshire, England
- About 1889 from age in death registration index
Actual date from 1939 register
GRO ref: Turner, Bertha q4 1889 Stoke T. RD 6b 246; GRO online index shows mother's maiden name as Lewis
Although there were many births of Bertha Turners registered, only 2 between 1884 and 1894 were in Stoke on Trent RD, and the other being q1 1885 is unlikely. A birth in early November is most likely to have been registered that quarter, though could have been in q1 the following year.
The above is by far the most likely based on location and date. Dobs in the 1939 register are often a year or two out but given that this one agrees with the age at death, it is probably correct, especially as there are no particularly likely birth registrations in the couple of years either side of 1889.
