"William Heath and Mary Gotham"
No parish shown in the banns register for either of the couple; was the priest just slack about recording the information (the name of the person who published the banns is also missing), or does this imply both were otp?
Married 27 Oct 1806 St. Thomas’s Church, Exeter, Devon, England
- Although there were banns of marriage for William and Mary in West Teignmouth in 1806, their marriage took place in Exeter a few months later, with both of them shown as of the parish of St. Thomas the Apostle.

Perhaps there was an impediment, hence marrying in a city parish, where they were not known.
An impediment could also explain why a daughter of Mary's (Sarah), shown in the register as born more than 7 months after the marriage, was recorded as a Gotham and illegitimate.
I show Mary's other daughter who was baptised as a Gotham as having a different father, but she could have been a daughter of William Heath.
