      Can't be certain that this is the right Margaret Edye but it seems highly probable. Hatherleigh is quite close to Okehampton, and the date of baptism suggests a birth close to the date suggested by the age given when Margaret died. Will index entries suggest the Hatherleigh Edyes were a family of similar social standing to the Matthew that the Margaret on this tree married. (Unfortunately none of the wills seems to survive that might confirm this Margaret as the right one).
      Most significantly although Margaret of Hatherleigh's mother was buried in Hatherleigh in 1775, her father was buried in Okehampton in 1776 - had he moved to Okehampton to live with his daughter Margaret? After this, Margaret of Hatherleigh's sister Emmett also married in Okehampton and her brother Edmund also lived there.
      In addition, there were no Edye events in Okehampton around this time apart from these which seem to belong to Edyes from Hatherleigh.
