  	"Hanman Walter Thomas of Okehampton Barracks Okehampton Devonshire died 22 April 1925 at the Military Hospital Devonport Administration (limited) London 6 July to May Ethel Mainwaring Dunstan (wife of Percy Mainwaring Dunstan). Effects £38 10s. 11d." When Walter died he was a widower and his parents had died although his children were still minors. His parents had had just three children, one of whom had died in infancy, and so it fell to his sister May to be his administrator.

However, the following figures of 2 (children still living) and 1 (children who had died) must refer to the children of this earlier marriage, and agree with the number found in the birth registration index, searching with a maiden name of Jolley.
