      I have not found any sign of any children of this marriage (looking on the GRO online index, for children with births registered as Warren, Warrent or Warrant, and mother's maiden name of Farrington, between 1864 and 1877).

    • George and Matilda appear not to have lived together until after the death of Matilda's step-father, Charrossin Smith, she and her children living with him even after the death of her mother, when she appears as his housekeeper (in the 1891 census).
      However, judging by their names, both their Christian names and their changing to using the surname Ellis, as well as their being shown as his children in the 1911 census, her children appear to be those of George, suggesting she was in a relationship with him by 1880.
      The 1901 census is the only one where Matilda appears living with George, but she is shown not as his wife but as his housekeeper, and with the surname Warrant. Despite this, when she died her death was registered with her name as Matilda Ellis.
