    Notes
    • (Research):I had Ann's surname as Thornton (from Arthur French info. - given as probable) but I'm now sure her maiden name was Lamble. Ann Thornton (who had a maternal g'mother Jarvis) could have been the Ann who died in Newton A dist q1 1852. (the 1851 census shows Ann Thornton with her parents and unmarried)
Her commemoration on a gravestone in East Portlemouth with her sister Betsy, daughter of John and Mary Lamble, confirms what I already suspected and there is a PR entry for her baptism as Ann Jarvis LAMBLE.
