    • One possibility is Elizabeth, the daughter of Andrew and Ellinor, baptised in Harberton in 1641 - that would make Elizabeth younger than most at marriage at this time, but far from impossible. However, there were several Harvey couples having children baptised in Harberton around this time, and some pages of the PRs for the relevant years are totally illegible or almost so, and I have yet to check the BTs. There could easily have been one or more other Elizabeths.

      Shown as widdower, adding weight to the theory it was this John who had first married to Elizabeht Codd in 1657
      Are the East Allington baptisms children  of the same John? With such common parents names as John and Elizabeth there could have been another couple. The marriages for East Allington 1607-1669 are currently not online, so cannot see if there were Pepperell marriages there in that period, nor are deaths for an appropriate time online.
