  	GRO ref: Goodhew, Mary q3 1868 Milton RD 2a 515 aged 24 The only dth of a Goodhew of the right sort of age in Kent in the period 1868 (when son born)  - 1871 (time of census, when Amos a widower) Just recorded as "Mary" in the death registration index, but the only marriage I could find of a Mary to an Amos Goodhew at the right time was Mary Seager Smith. To add weight to her being the right Mary, her birth was registered in Q4 1843, so she would have been 24 in Q3 1868, as recorded for the Mary who died. The death was registered the same quarter as the birth of her younger child, suggesting she died during or as a result of childbirth. (Very often babies whose mother's died also died, but in this case he survived).
