Details from PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 23 Nov 2019)
I think they were probably still married at the time of the 1911 census (it implies so) but presumbably Charles had died when Sarah remarried in 1912.
The information about this marriage was erroneously entered on the 1911 census (as was often the case), With a single strick through it is still readable and indicates that 3 children were born to this marriage, of whom one had died.
I have not found the birth or death of a Charles Adam to fit with the 1901 census data, nor a divorce, not a census entry for him in 1911. Although daughter Amy was not with her mother in 1911, who was working as housekeeper at 25 Crown Quay, rather she was with her mother's half-sister and family at 26 Crown Quay!
A lot were emigrating at this time; maybe Charles left the country.
Separated Between Apr 1901 and May 1904 - Not necessarily a formal separation, but Charles and Sarah Ann seem to have parted company, after the 1901 census (where together in the same house) but probably before Sarah's son Walter was conceived (no father named on his birth cert.). As he was born in Feb 1905 then by May 1904.
