Name Isaac PEPPERELL Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born Est 1738 - Estimated from date of marriage
Baptised - ** not found a baptism for Isaac but I am guessing he was a son of Samuel **
After naming a son after himself, Isaac named a son Samuel - suggesting that was his father's name.
Also, a Samuel Peprell was a witness at his wedding; there were only 2 alive in Slapton at the time, if I am right in placing Isaac on the tree one was his brother, the other his father.
Gender Male Died Yes, date unknown Buried - Not found indexed in Slapton. An Isaac Pepprell was buried at St Andrews, Plymouth in 1772 but looking at this entry it was of a child.
However, there may be a link.
This Isaac's son Timothy was of Plymouth when he married in 1788; Timothy may have moved by himself or the whole family may have moved to Plymouth, in which case the 1772 burial could be of another son of this Isaac.

Isaac Pepperell of this Parish

Married in this Church by Banns
this 28 Day of Septr. in the Year One Thousand Seven

This Marriage was solemnized between Us { Isaac Pepperell, Mary Pepperell Late Gunn ['Late Gunn' appears to have been added underneath Mary's signature by the Curate]
In the Presence of Roger Edwards, the mark of X Samuell Peprell"
I thought at first Mary had made a mistake signing with her married name, but looking at other entries around this time in Slapton, for most of which the bridge made her mark, they were all of the form '[married name] late [previous surname]'.
