    Notes
    • Only a relation by marriage, and her father being of particular interest, I am not investigating Emma's husband / descendants, but have noticed she married Amos Shillibeer in Sheepstor, Amos being described as a labourer at the time, and then 'leat keeper'. Their children were baptised in Sheepstor, where Emma and Amos were eventually buried after long lives (Emma aged 87, Amos 90). Two earlier Shillibeers had also been responsible for Plymouth leat, William, possibly Amos father or grandfather, and William's father George. In apperciation the Mayor and Commonalty / Plymouth Corporation saw that they were commemorated in Sheepstor Churchyard.
