Katherine, b. Est 1623, Devon, England , bur. 17 Oct 1696, St. James’ Church, Slapton, Devon, England (Age ~ 73 years) (3 x Great Grandmother)Notes - (Research):Was it this Mary KELLOND who became a CLARK(E) and and then a TRO(U/W)T? I think so. Two others who appear possible can probably be ruled out as one was born in South Pool, and the other a widow KELLOND, as described below..
A Mary Kellond who was 'of Kingsbridge' when she married a John Edmonds in 1804 (Banns at South Pool, where John was of); DFHS CD (Woodleigh Deanery) shows the wedding did take place at Kingsbridge (7 Aug 1804) and that there is more info in the PR - this may clarify whether it was this Mary. However, the 1851 census suggests it was not this Mary; a mary Edmonds of the right age is in South Pool and shown as born South Pool.
A Mary Kellond was buried in Slapton on 4 Sep 1854 - age shown as 75, this Mary would only have been 74 but close enough. No indication in register as to whether a wife, widow or spinster in the burial register. However, the 1851 census, though, shows a widow Mary Kellond, aged 70, was a visitor in a house in Slapton at the time of the census; I guess it was that one buried in Slapton in 1854.
