"The funeral of Mr. William Trant, dairy-
man and formerly agriculturist of the South
Hams district, took place at Dawlish on
Saturday, Rev. F. Simmons (vicar) officiating.
The chief mourners were Messrs W. Trant,
H. Trant, Parnell Trant and S. Trant (sons),
Miss E. Trant, Mrs E. Bulley, and Mrs. E.
Bond (daughters), Mr. G. Bond (son-in-law),
Mesdames B. Trant, R. Trant, M. Trant, and
S. Trant (daughters-in-law), Mr. J. Trant,
Frittiscombe (Brother), Messrs. W. Trant
(Frittiscombe), F. Trant (Strete). A. Trant
(Kingsbridge), C. Manning (Paignton), and S.
Hoppin (Harbertonford), nephews; Misses
Hilda, Eleanor, Ethel, Dorothy Trant, and
Masters Lewis and Alfie Trant (grandchildren).
There were a number of local farmers and
tradesmen present, and numerous wreaths,
etc., were sent. Two sons, Messrs. Lewis and
Ernest Trant, were prevented from attending,
the former being on service in India."
