- some letters missing because near fold of page near spine, but other parts of the entry missing because parts of the page missing.
I think this indicates John was privately baptized on 13 Dec 1797, received into the church on 13 Jan 1798. However, 13 Jan 1798 was a Saturday, and I would have expected the receiving to be done at a Sunday service. Just as Baptisms became separate from the main worship. perhaps receiving had too.
