Under heading "Baptisms 1774" - name not really readable, but general shape and length suggests it could be Elizabeth, then
"Daughter of Samuel & Patty Spurril was baptiz October 14th"
Gender Female Died - Another tree suggests that this Elizabeth didn't marry and was the Eliz Spurrell who died in 1857 in Tavistock RD.
If I am right about her being the Elizabeth who married Joseph Blanchard, her death does not seem to be on FMP as a Blanchard, would expect DFHS index (on FMP) to cover it if prior to start of death registration in 1837, but also not found her in the 1841 census. She could have died between 1837 - 1841. The 1841 census was not until June 6th, which means the Elizabeth Blanchard whose dth was reg in Tavistock RD in q2 1841 could well be her - except that this must be the Elizabeth Blanchard who was buried at Whitchurch on 6th June, and who the burial register shows was aged 20.
There is a burial on FMP from the DFHS index of an Elizabeth Blanchard bur Tavistock on 13 Apr 1834. Age given as 69 - about 10 years too old - but could be unclear in the register - if the 1st digit is unclear could have been 59, or a 0 could look like a 9.
Of course, it's also quite possible she didn't die in Devon; while people moved in different directions particularly common was moving to Cornwall and Cornwall burials not checked.
BUT having now found that she seems to have been widowed aged about 35 I suspect she remarried. An Elizabeth Blanchard married in Stoke Damerel (where she seems to have lived with Joseph) in 1813, but the PR entry shows her as a spinster.
She may have returned to family in Sampford Spiney - in which case the Elizabeth Blanchard who married one John Evans on 24 Dec 1810 in Tavistock could be her - I've only seen the DFHS index entry on FMP so don't know if she was a widow or spinster.
If she did become Mrs Evans, then there are several possibilities - there are rather too many Elizabeth Evans to make it easy to identify her.

- did she re-marry - if she did it was most likely in Devon. Most marriages in the West of Devon from 1809-1837 are indexed on FMP.
Those on this index most likely to be her are:
an Elizabeth Blanchard who marr Wm Austin in Stoke Damerel in 1813 (i.e. where Eliza marr and where her husband and son died) - but the PR entry shows this Elizabeth to be a spinster;
an Elizabeth Blanchard who marr John Evans in Tavistock in 1810 (i.e. close to where her parents lived). Not easy names to look for, but no obvious couple with these names in the censuses.
Looking in the censuses for any Elizabeth b c 1774 in Sheepstor does not show any candidate.

Banns of marriage 8 Mar 1772, 29 Mar 1772, 19 Apr 1772 St. Leonard’s Church, Sheepstor, Devon, England - PR with combined banns / marriage entry - shows banns unusually (in my experience) being read at 3 weekly intervals - because in this tiny place, which was not then a parish in its own right, there was only a service every 3 weeks.
No info. given as to marital status etc.

Married 22 Apr 1772 St. Leonard’s Church, Sheepstor, Devon, England - The marriage part of the combined banns / marriage entry shows that Samuel and Patty both made their marks, while Alice Reed and Peter Reed Junr. (both appear to be siblings of Patty's) signed. It would seem strange if they could write and Patty couldn't - but Samuel seems to have signed plenty of documents in Sheepstor, so I guess both could write but didn't on this occasion.

Showing where the graves of Samuel and Patty Spurrell and several of their descendants are positioned, in relation both to each other and to the Church.
Some other descendants of theirs, including two, daughters, one being my ancestor Mary, are also buried in this churchyard, but the graves appear to be unmarked.

Her brother Samuel had married Margery Blanchard, sister of Joseph, about 2 years earlier.
