Although Annie married as a Faram, and Faram is given as her maiden name in the birth registrations for her first two children, there is no birth registration for an Annie (Elizabeth) Faram, nor does she appear in censuses. However, with a widow Elizabeth Farm there is a nurse child Annie Plant, shown as aged 4 in the 1871 census. Her birth registration shows she was Annie Elizabeth, and the qtr is a likely one for her dob as in the 1939 register. Plant was also the name given as the mother's maiden name when the birth of her third son Frederick was registered.
Hence it seems that nurse child Annie PLANT subsequently took the surname of her 'adoptive' family.
