Gender Male Died Yes, date unknown Siblings 1 brother and 3 sisters Patriarch & Matriarch John BASTARD, d. Yes, date unknown (8 x Great Grandfather)
Jane RUGG, bur. 10 Nov 1770, St. Thomas’s Church, Exeter, Devon, England (Mother)Notes - (Research):A William Bastard married in Exeter in 1775 (to Ann Sobey) but I do not think it was this William. Another William was baptised there in 1752, the son of Richard and Elizabeth, and a Richard was also amongst his siblings. The witnesses at the 1775 marriage included a Richard Bastard and a Mary Bastard. I have found no evidence of any Richard amongst the descendants of Bevill Bastard.
There were other marriages of Williams in Exeter in 1785 and 1788. The 1788 marriage was of a widower, and as a Sobey was a witness I think that was the remarriage of the William who married in 1775.
Could be the William, a fuller, who married Mary MARKER in St Mary Arches in 1785.
