Name Frances BARLING Relationship with Teresa Ann GOATHAM Born Abt 1616 Headcorn, Kent, England - About 1614 from marriage licence where shown as aged 28.
A little earlier if her father was the Adrian Barling of Frittenden who left a will written 1610, proved 1611, but I think she probably wasn't.
About 1616 from date of baptism I think was hers - at this time babies were usually baptised very young. Place assumed from place of baptism.
Baptised 29 Oct 1616 St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, Headcorn, Kent, England - From KFHS transcribed data (on CD 19)
Shows Frauncis Barling, child of Adrian and ? (I'm not sure if this means the mother wasn't named in the register or the transcriber couldn't decipher the name)
Gender Female Died 1673 Headcorn, Kent, England - (assumed from burial)
Buried 8 Jan 1672/73 St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, Headcorn, Kent, England - From transcribed data on KFHS CD 19; shows Frances TAYLER, wife of Nicholas

Father Adrian BARLING, b. Abt 1581, Ulcombe, Kent, England , d. Between 1613 and 1618 (Age ~ 32 years) Mother Joyce BUTCHER, b. Abt 1587, Egerton, Kent, England , d. Yes, date unknown
Other Partners: Daniel GODFREY m. 28 Aug 1619Married 14 Nov 1608 All Saints’ Church, Ulcombe, Kent, England - From transcribed data in East Kent marriage index (1538-1754)
Shows Adrian Barling of Ulcombe married Joyce Butcher also of Ulcombe.
Ulcombe PRs do not yet appear to be available online (neither images not indexed / transcribed data) and I have not yet looked at them at an archives office, so I have not seen an entry for the baptism of Frances. There were a number marriages of Barlings of Ulcombe in the years shortly before the birth of Frances so this is why I think her parents were Adrian and Joyce:
The marriage licence for the marriage of their daughter Frances shows that consent was given by [blank] Godfrey alias Barling. An alias in a parent's name usually means that it was a widowed and remarried mother shown with her surnames from both marriages.
There is a licence for the marriage of a widow Joyce Barling to a Daniel Godfrey in 1619, showing her as 'late wife of Adrian (?) Barling of Headcorn'. Neither Adrian nor Joyce are particularly common Christian names, so the remarriage was almost certainly Joyce the mother of Frances, and this marriage her previous one.
The KFHS transcribed data shows a Sara, dau of Adery, baptised in Frittenden on 22 May 1609; he was buried in Frittended on 5 Jan 1609/10 (again shown as daughter of Adery). The Barling study shows here as daughter of Adrian of Frittenden who died 1610 or 1611, which makes sense given the location.

Family Nicholas TAYLOR, b. Abt 1617, Hollingbourne, Kent, England , d. May 1683, Headcorn, Kent, England (Age ~ 66 years) Married 1643 All Saints’ Church, Ulcombe, Kent, England - Marriage info assumed from marriage licence, and from Charing transcribed data (on CD 25) not showing the marriage.
The family appear to have moved from Hollingbourne to Headcorn between 1645 and 1650. Headcorn burials seem to be missing in the PRs from Aug 1643 to Dec 1662 (judging by KFHS transcribed data), so the two children of whom nothing more is known may have died young in that period.
