  Notes	Possibilities: Bennett - wife of Jon buried Marden 9 Nov 1588 Johannah - wife of John buried Marden 18 Nov 1599 There was also a wife of John buried 30 Sept 1593 but there is a blank in place of a Christian name! Of course, 2 or even all 3 could have been wives of the John this 'unknown' wife was married to - and the children need not all have had the same mother. (all the above from KFHS transcripts on CD 25) In addition, a Thomas was living and died in Benenden who could be the son of this person and John (a Thomas mentioned in John's will). Not many Grigsby entries in Benenden PRs but the few include an Anise GRYGSBYE buried in 1588, wife of John! However, I think 'Unknown' cannot be Anise, as not only would suggest a move from Marden to Benenden and then back again, but John and Anis had only married in 1586. Two other burials in Benenden:  Joane, 1580, a widow and Edward, 1584/5 - no other info. Could be mother and brother of John. (Benenden info from KFHS CD12) (Benenden village is about 11 or 12 miles from Marden village, although parts of the parishes are closer to each other) Was John's wife called Margarett (the same as their daughter)? Did they have other children either in another parish or the records of whose baptisms don't survive?
