      The 1901 John and Mary had 'THOMAS' brothers-in-law living with them; single, they were clearly Thomas's wife's brothers not his sisters' husbands - hence Mary Jane confirmed as a THOMAS.

      The 1911 census shows John and Mary had had 3 children, one of whom had died.
