    • From PR entry (image on FMP, viewed 15 May 2017)
"Mar: 28 Mary Goatham" - under heading 'Burials 1745'
It seems likely that the burial was this Mary. At this time is appears that the burial register recorded the father's name for children, but no other information - if a female was not recorded as 'daughter of' no information was given as to husband or if widow or spinster, so nothing can be read into the lack of such information here.
Of those for whose existence I have evidence I think this is the only Mary that it is likely to be, but given that there seem to be a number of events missing (e.g. what happened to Mary's parents and brothers?) I could also be missing e.g. the marriage of a brother to another Mary. I may, though, not be missing as much as at first appears; it is quite possible her father and brothers died in an accident at sea, and all I am missing is either the death or remarriage of her mother.

Why was it recorded in both?
It appears the marriage was by licence, issued the same day; as this would have been obtained in Exeter I expect the marriage did take place there but it was recorded in Littleham register as it concerned Littleham parishioners.
