Notes - Digital copies of these wills can be searched and downloaded from the National Archives website (for free at TNA in Kew, for a charge from home; they can also be found and downloaded on TheGenealogist (TG) or Ancestry websites (subscription needed, or viewable at LDS centres or other places offering free access). Due to poor transcriptions on both websites , I would miss a significant proportion of wills of interest if I relied on one of the site's index. I find it best to search the Discovery catalogue (TNA website) and then look for will on a website, using various permutations of data until I find it (surnames and placenames are those most commonly mis-transcribed; for Devon some are under Devon, others Devonshire on the TG website).
